SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES BEGINNING IN JUNE OF 2010
    So far, the Summer is shaping up to have most classes, regattas and open sailing on the weekends.  However, that leaves the weekdays open for scheduling of almost anything you might want to do in our big or little sailboats or our motorboat.  That can be charters, open sailing rentals, small or big sailboat classes or anything that two or more people are interested in doing.  Once the crabbing season opens, we will be available to take people out crabbing and can provide the crab traps.  
    AS OF THE DATE OF THIS SCHEDULE, JUNE 27, THERE ARE NO SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES DURING THE WEEK EXCEPT FOR WED, JULY  30 (keelboat class, already full)
                                                                   WEEKDAYS  (MONDAY THRU THURSDAY) SCHEDULE
WEEKDAYS, MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY ARE CURRENTLY QUITE FLEXIBLE.  ANY KIND OF CLASS CAN BE SCHEDULED PROVIDED THAT A MINIMUM OF TWO PEOPLE SIGN UP FOR A CLASS.  DESIGN YOUR OWN WEEKDAY SCHEDULE.  EXCEPTIONS TO THE 2-PERSON MINIMUM:   WE WILL DO A CHALLENGE SESSION  (FOR PEOPLE WHO ALREADY KNOW HOW TO SAIL AND WANT  US SAILING CERTIFICATION) OR BOAT UPGRADE CERTIFICATIONS (E.G. WALKER BAY TO LASER OR LASER >>) FOR ONE PERSON.  CALL 425-314-9824 OR E-M TO SCHEDULE.  ALSO, WEEKDAYS CAN BE SCHEDULED TO TRY ON WET SUITS AND DO THE SWIM /FLOAT TEST AND CAPSIZE RECOVERY.

WEEKENDS SCHEDULE BEGINNING THE WEEKEND OF  JULY 2

 SPECIAL NOTE:  FOR ANY SATURDAYS OR SUNDAYS NORMALLY SCHEDULED FOR  CLASSES, IF THE CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO INSUFFICIENT ENROLLMENT, OPEN SAILING RENTALS OR CHALLENGE SESSIONS (BY APPOINTMENT) WILL HAPPEN ON THOSE SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS INSTEAD.    ALL QUALIFIED SMALL BOAT SKIPPERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY E-MAIL BY THURSDAY BEFORE 8 PM. IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS:  THE DAYS SCHEDULED FOR THE SEASON REGATTA EVENTS WILL BE FOR THE RACES ONLY.
RACING
Do you own a small sailboat, daggerboard or centerboard (or no board) (no ballasted or fixed  keels?  We invite you to come to Camano Island State Park and have fun with other small boat sailors in the season-long Camano Cup Regatta series, beginning  Sunday, June 27.  See the schedule below and the NOTICE OF RACE/LIABILITY RELEASE:   there are two versions of this form, one for the SKIPPER OR BOAT OWNER,  and one for the CREW PERSON sailing with a skipper/boat owner.
FIRST RACE
The first race had a good mixed turnout of Pelicans, Laser 2 and Lasers.  It was decided to make this first day of racing a tune-up and practice session:  no points were scored and the points accumulation will start in the scheduled 2nd race day, Saturday, July 3.
 
MOST FRIDAYS THROUGH AUGUST:  Milltown Log Dodge Series, Camano Sail sailing students and graduates (small boat and KB) eligible to crew on  Samurai, our Hobie-33, at no cost if you let us know by Thursday .  Click this link for further info.

CAMANO CUP REGATTA SERIES.  RACE NO. 1.  
 Small boat races with class starts for all classes (Lasers, Laser 2, Walker Bay 8's, Pelicans, C-Lark, Hobie, etc etc)  Points for finishing.   Points will be added over the entire series which will last all Summer and into the Fall.  There will be "throw-outs" allowed for bad  races, no-shows etc. Details being worked out.  Races may include: to and around Baby Island; to Cama and Return;  around the buoys racing in front of the park; around the buoys racing in front of Cama;  etc.  NEED VOLUNTEEERS FOR A COMMITTEE!!!  NEED HELP ESTABLISHING THE RULES OF THE REGATTA, THROW-OUT RACES FOR NO-SHOWS, POOR PERFORMANCE ETC).  No reservations on boats, first come-first served.  Camano Sail and Power LLC will have (4) Laser 2's, (4) Lasers and (2) Walker Bays available to rent  (click this link to see the rental fees).    Privately-owned boats welcome and encouraged.
