PLEASE NOTE THAT FAMILY ARRANGEMENTS MUST BE SCHEDULED SEPARATELY. PLEASE E-MAIL US OR CALL 425-314-9824
All
classes have a maximum number of students of (6) people or six small sailboats. The
classes are filled in the order of receipt of this completed form with
a deposit.
Recommended
minimum age for singlehanders (one person per boat) is 14 or minimum
weight of 100 pounds (generally, smaller
people find it difficult to control the dinghys in a breeze). For
our "Family classes" where we have one adult and one youth per small
boat (e.g. Mother or Father + Son or Daughter), the minimum age
and weight is more flexible. At minimum, the Youth must be
comfortable in the cold saltwater wearing a wet suit, and must pass the
standard float/swim test. In a "family LTS" situation, it is
expected that the adult will be responsible for the behavior of the
youth and that the adult will be the one responsible for doing capsize
and turtle recovery and making sure that the youth is back in the boat
afterwards.
Before you commit to a
class, it is important that you understand what our
guidelines are for accepting students into our Learn to Sail
Small Boats classes. Please read the guidelines here.
Two important requirements 1)
wear a wetsuit during all on-the-water activities (you can arrange for a
try-out of our limited supply of wetsuits if you wish to
rent one (if one does not fit, you will have to rent one from a scuba
or similar shop), and 2) arrange to be at the sailing site on a
day and time when we are open in order to do the float and swim
test required of
all students in the small boat classes)Name_____________________________________________
